Directions to St. Matthew/Central

Exit the airport on the access road following the signs for New Orleans (not the signs for Veterans Blvd.)

You will merge onto I-10 going east.

At one point after you are in the metro area I-10 will split, with the left lanes going to
I-610.  Stay in the right lanes.

Take exit #232.  The signs read US-61/Airline Highway/Carrollton Ave.  Follow the sign for Tulane Ave.

Then in .3 miles take the I-10 E/ Carrollton Ave. ramp.  Stay left and this ramp will merge onto S. Carrollton Ave.

Drive down S. Carrollton for 1.8 miles.

Make a U-Turn at Plum Street onto the other side of S. Carrollton.  The church is in the immediate block after the U-Turn.  It is quite visible on the corner of S. Carrollton and Willow Street.

Parking

If there is space available, you may park on S. Carrollton Ave.  Be cautious of the handicap and bus zones.

If there is no space available on Carrollton, do not make the U-Turn at Plum Street but instead turn left on Plum Street and go one block.  Then turn left onto Short Street and go one block.  Then take one more left turn onto Willow Street.  Park on Willow. 

Directions from Baton Rouge

Take I-10 E toward Hammond/New Orleans.  It is about 75 miles.

At one point after you are in the metro area I-10 will split, with the left lanes going to
I-610.  Stay in the right lanes.

Then in .3 miles take the I-10 E/ Carrollton Ave. ramp.  Stay left and this ramp will merge onto S. Carrollton Ave.

Take I-55 S following signs to New Orleans.

Around Laplace I-55 will merge with I-10.  Take I-10 E.

When you are in the New Orleans Metro area I-10 will split with the left lanes going to I-610.  Stay in the right lanes.

Take exit # 232.  The signs read US61/Airline Highway/Carrollton Ave.  Follow the sign for Tulane Ave.

Then in .3 of a mile take the I-10 E/Carrollton Ave. ramp.  Stay left and this ramp will merge onto S. Carrollton Ave.

Directions from Slidell, Louisiana

Take I-10W following signs to New Orleans.

Go over the Twin Spans Bridge.

Continue on I-10 following signs for Baton Rouge I-10 W.
Do not get off of I-10 onto I-610 even though it says to Baton Rouge.  Stay on I-10 until your exit.

As you go over the downtown area, I-10 will fork with left lanes going to Route 90 and the West Bank.  The right lanes go to Baton Rouge.  Stay in the right two lanes toward Baton Rouge.

Exit I-10 at exit 232.  The first exit sign reads 61/Tulane Ave./Carrollton.  Get in the right lane as soon as possible.  There will be several sets of exit signs.  Just stay right following the signs for Carrollton.  When given the choice,  TAKE THE CARROLLTON AVE. SOUTH ramp.
            This is a very long exit ramp that curves left.  Turn left at the first stoplight you see which will be Palmetto.  (You go over a small bridge.)  Get in the right lane and go just 1 block.  Turn right onto South Carrollton 

Continue on S. Carrollton for 1.8 miles to Plum Street where you make a U-turn to get over the neutral ground to the other side of Carrollton.  The church is quite visible in the immediate block after your U-turn.  It is on your right on the corner of S. Carrollton and Willow Street.
